The Monsters of Hip Hop workshop was recently held at the DCU center, Scholarship winners were April Melanson, Catherine Pelletier & Brittany Smith. Shock The Intensive workshop was held at the DCU center and the winners were Karlie Allen, Madeline Dembowski & Brittany Smith

NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER
We will be CLOSED for the Thanksgiving Holiday, beginning on Thursday, November 27, 2008 through Saturday, November, 29, 2008, re-opening on Monday, December 1st 2008. All Thursday, Friday and Saturday classes only may schedule a make-up class for the one missed due to the Holiday. Make-up classes can be scheduled prior to or after the day missed. Make-up classes must be scheduled within two weeks from the missed class/classes. We are open for all classes on Wednesday November 26, 2008!!!!

Here is a list of some of the suggested make-up classes for the class that you may attend:
Thursday 4:00-5:30 - Beg Ballet/Jazz ages 6+ - Miss Virginia - Friday 4:00 - 5:00 Intro Ballet/Jazz, Saturday 12:30 - 1:30 Beg. Ballet, Saturday 1:30 -2:30 Beg Jazz or any beginner Hip Hop class ages 6+ (Tuesday 5:00 - 6:00, Wednesday 5:30- 6:30 or Saturday 10:30 - 11:30)

Thursday 5:00-7:00 Senior Team Practice- Miss Tanya An additional practice will be scheduled on Saturday, November 22nd 2008 from 1:30 - 3:30pm.

Thursday 7:30 - 9:00 - Novice Hip Hop Team Miss Katelyn- Team members may come to any Int Hip Hop class, they may schedule two make-up classes, to replace the 1 ½ hour class that they will miss. Saturday 9:30-10:15 Mom & Me Creative Movement - Miss Melissa - students could do two classes on Saturday, their own scheduled class and an additional Mom & Me class on Saturday 11:30-12:15 Mom & Me. If your child is close to age 4yrs they may attend a 4yr old combo-class.
Saturday 9:30-10:30 Pre-Hip Hop/Tap - Miss Katelyn - Tuesday 4:00-5:00 Pre-Ballet/Tap, Wednesday 3:30-4:30 Pre-Ballet/Jazz, Friday 4:00 - 5:00 Intro Ballet/Jazz or Saturday 10:30-11:30 Pre-Ballet/Jazz.

Winter is right around the corner, which means snow storms and cancellations. To check if the studio is closed, please call the studio 1 hour prior to your class or go to our web-site www.Misstanyasdance.com. For the latest up-dates. If you are not on the e-mail list, please forward your e-mail address to kellyorourke@comcast.net. You may also listen to the local radio station WEIM 1280 AM. Please do not call the radio station. Cancellation notices are announced every ½ hour on the radio. If schools are closed, the studio may still be open. If class is cancelled due to inclement weather, you may schedule a make-up class for the one missed.

All students should come to dance class with proper Dance Attire and Dance Shoes. All students that take a 1 hour Beg. Ballet, Level classes or 1 ½ Ballet class should wear a Black leotard, Pink Ballet tights and Pink Ballet slippers. Hair should be pulled back from the face in a pony tail and no dangle jewelry. Pre-Ballet and Intro to Ballet students can wear any color leotard, pink ballet tights and pink ballet slippers. All students that take a 1 hour Jazz class should wear Tan Jazz boots and all Hip Hop students with the exception of Monday 7:30 advanced and Wednesday 7:30 Int/Adv Hip Hop should have Hip Hop sneakers. The required sneaker for all Hip Hop classes ages 8+, and any Leveled classes are the Klassik Hip Hop sneaker, black and pink combo. Hip Hop classes for ages 6+ and any Pre-Hip Hop combo classes are the Kush sneaker if they come in your size or the Capezio Black Toggle sneaker.

Tuition Payment Schedule
Tuition payment is due on the first of each month. If paid after the 15th of the month, an additional $5.00 will be added to the tuition rate. The school calendar year is based on 38 weekly classes. Some months you may have 3 classes, some 4, and others 5 classes in a month, but it averages out to 38 classes in the calendar year.

A $30.00 deposit is required for each recital costume. Costume deposits are non refundable. Invoices are attached to newsletter. Payments are due on or before November 30th 2008. Cash and checks only, no credit cards. We will try to keep the costume price around $58.00 to $65.00 depending on the style of the costume.
