Dear Students & Parents;
The staff at Miss Tanya’s School of Dance would
like to welcome everyone back to the start of a FUN and EXCITING 2010 dance
season. We hope that everyone had a wonderful Holiday and a Happy and Safe New
Year!!!
We are rapidly approaching the time of the year
when we begin thinking and preparing for our annual dance recital The recital
will be held at Fitchburg High School on Friday, June 18th and Saturday, June
19th 2010. This year there will be THREE shows (Friday evening at 7:00pm,
Saturday at 1:00pm and 5:00pm. Pre-School ages 4&5 and Mom & Me classes will be
in ONE performance on Saturday and all other classes (Intro Ballet/Jazz and any
class ages 6+ will be in TWO performances. Intermediate/Advanced students and
competition team members may be in all three shows. Mandatory Dress rehearsal
will be on Wednesday, June 16th 2010. We will do our best to schedule siblings
and students that are in two classes in at least one show together, so that
family members may attend, but they may be in different shows for their second
performance. If a student is in more than three classes, they may be in all
three shows.
Ticket prices will be given at a later date.
Special ticket pricing will be available for parents of students that are in
multiple shows. Unlike other studio in the area, where the students must stay
backstage during the performance, we allow them to sit in the audience with
their families at no charge and enjoy the show. Students may only attend the
show/shows that they are in or if they have a Sibling in a performance other
than their own. Students that are 4yrs old and younger must sit on a parents lap
during the performance. If students would like to attend a performance to see
other family members (not siblings) or friends, they must purchase a ticket. A
schedule of the show format and show times will be given out at a later date.
Our costumes will range in price, between $58.00 to $68.00 depending on the
style of costume ordered. Invoices for the recital costume balances will be
given in mid February and also a poster with pictures of recital costumes will
be posted in the wait area in mid February. Tickets will go on sale in May. Last
year both shows were sold out. Tickets are sold on a first come first serve
basics with general seating. We will have a handicap section in the front of the
auditorium. This year we are not limiting the amount of tickets you can
purchase, but we do ask that if your child/children are in multiple shows that
you do not buy all of the tickets for just one show, but instead you buy some
for both performances, as this will help to balance the amount of tickets
available for each performance.
Miss Tanya’s School of Dance instructors will
begin teaching recital routines the last week of February. All class ATTENDENCE
will be MANDATORY and students may not miss more than three classes from the
last week of February to the recital date to participate in the recital. If a
student misses more than three classes, a meeting will be set up to discuss
recital participation. After the third week in the month of February, students
will not be allowed to make-up missed classes, due to the fact that each class
will learn a different routine for the recital and the student would not know
the dance if they go into a class other than their own. If classes are cancelled
due to weather, a make-up class will be scheduled on a Saturday or Sunday.
Reminder, the observation window will only be open the last 15 minutes of class
during the last class of the month. We will be open for class on Martin Luther
King JR. Day, Monday, January 18th 2010. Tuition is due on or before the 15th of
the month. If paid after the 15th a $10.00 fee will be added.
Just a reminder, please call the studio one hour
before your scheduled class, listen to WEIM 1280 AM or check the web-site for
class cancellations. We will be closed for the February vacation from the 15th
to the 20th, re-opening on Monday, February 22nd 2010.
December 2009
Dear Students & Parents;
It’s hard to believe that the Holiday season is upon us with all the hustle and
bustle that goes with it. The studio will be closed for the Christmas vacation
from Thursday December 24th, re-opening on Saturday, January 2nd 2010. Thursday,
Friday & Saturday classes only may schedule a make-up class for the one missed
due to the Christmas vacation. You may schedule your make-up class prior to the
Holiday or after. All make-up classes must be scheduled within two weeks of the
missed class. See attached sheet for make-up class suggestions.
December tuition is due on or before December 15th, 2009. If paid after the
15th, please add an additional $10.00.
Just a reminder that all costume deposits should have been paid by November 30th
2009. If you have not paid your costume deposit, please do so as soon as
possible, as costumes will not be ordered until deposit has been paid.
During the first week in December we will be measuring and sizing students for
recital costumes. The cost for costumes will be $58.00 - $68.00, depending on
the type of costume ordered. Invoices for the balance of costumes will go out in
the month of February. We will begin to teach the students recital routines in
the end of January and at this time make-up classes will not be allowed for any
missed classes.

Winter is here, which means snow storms and cancellations. To check if the
studio is closed, please call the studio one hour prior to the start of your
scheduled class or check our web-site www.Misstanyasdance.com. You may also
listen to the local radio station WEIM 1280 AM. Please do not call the radio
station. Cancellation notices are announced every ½ hour. If schools are closed,
the studio may still be open, so please listen to the radio station or call the
studio for more information. If class is cancelled due to inclement weather, you
may schedule a make-up class for the one missed. We do not pro-rate for missed
classes.
Beginning in January, 2010 the observation window will only be opened for the
last 15 minutes of class during the LAST CLASS OF EACH MONTH.

Dear Students & Parents;
The month of November is upon us and the Holidays are right around the corner!!
The studio will be closed for the Thanksgiving vacation, Thursday, November 26th
through Saturday, November 28th 2009, re-opening on Monday, November 30th 2009.
We are open for all classes on Wednesday, November 25th. Make-up classes will be
offered for Thursday, Friday and Saturday classes only!! Make-up classes must be
scheduled within two weeks of the missed class. On page two are a few suggested
make-up classes.
November tuition is now due. If tuition is paid after the 15th of the month,
please add an additional $10.00. All students should have the proper dance
attire and shoes by now.
Costume deposits in the amount of $30.00 per costume are due by November 30th
2009. An invoice is attached at the bottom of the notice. Cash or checks made
payable to Miss Tanya’s School of Dance are accepted. No Credit Cards Please!!!
Do not include monthly tuition with costume deposits. Costume deposits are
non-refundable. An invoice for the costume balance will be given in the month of
February.
Recital costumes will be ordered in the month of January. Costumes range in
price between $58.00 - $70.00 depending on the costume chosen. We will be

Let’s all work together to try and stay healthy this flu season. We have many
bottles of hand sanitizers located throughout the studio and in each bathroom.
Remember to wash hands with soapy water and use hand sanitizer when leaving the
restrooms. If your child has a fever or any flu symptoms, please do not send
them to class. Call and schedule a make-up class.
