Dear Competition Team Members & Parents:
Welcome back to a FUN and EXCITING competition season!! It’s hard to believe that the summer is over and a new season has begun. We have many exciting events planned such as Master Classes, Workshops, Leap & Turn Classes and exciting new competitions to explore. At this time we would like to welcome new Mini, Small-Fry, Hip Hop & Hip Hop Novice Team members to our dance family, which is growing in leaps and bounds.
We will be attending two or three workshops and five competitions (excluding Mini, & Novice Hip Hop Teams). We would like to compete in the months of February, March & April only, as many of our Senior and Hip Hop team members are graduating this year. Estimated competition invoices will be given out to each team member beginning in the month of October, and monthly here after to help each member budget their competition fees. These are only estimated invoices and as we near each competition actual amounts for each member will be invoiced and credits will apply. The first workshop is Monsters of Hip Hop at the DCU Center in Worcester on Saturday, October 11th & Sunday, October 12th 2008. If you have not paid for this event please do so as soon as possible. This workshop is MANDATORY for the following teams, excluding New Novice Hip Hop Team Members that have just joined: Small-Fry, Junior, Senior, Hip Hop Team & Novice Hip Hop Team. A notice went out to all team members in July regarding this workshop and payments are past due. It is the responsibility of all team members to read and take home all notices that are distributed through your mail boxes.
We would like to schedule a parent meeting for the following teams to discuss the events of the season, fundraising and expectations of both team members and parents. The Mini Team meeting is scheduled for Friday September 26th at 5:30pm, The Small-Fry Team meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 25th at 4:30pm and the Junior Team meeting is scheduled for Friday, September 26th at 7:45pm. The Novice Hip Hop Team meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October, 9th at 8:30pm These meetings are Mandatory for all parents!!!!! Please mark these dates on your calendars.
The 2008-2009 Competition Team contracts are in the team mailboxes. Please sign and return the forms as soon as possible. Please check your mailboxes weekly, as important information will be distributed in the coming weeks.
New teams members will be sized for warm-up suits in the weeks ahead. Competition leotards will be sized and ordered for the new Mini Team and any other members that have out grown their last season leotard and also make-up will be ordered.

Below is a tentative schedule of Workshops & Competitions (SUBJECT TO CHANGE). This season we are trying to attend as many local competitions as possible to help defray the cost of over night hotel stays. We hope that this schedule will accommodate the needs of the entire team.

October 11th & 12th, 2008- Monsters of Hip Hop Workshop- DCU Center Worcester Ma.- Mandatory for the Small-Fry, Junior, Senior & Hip Hop & Novice Hip Hop Teams.

October 26th, 2008- Shock The Intensive - DCU Center Worcester Ma. - This workshop offers Jazz, lyrical, Musical Theater, Tap & Hip Hop. Mandatory for Small-Fry, Junior, & Senior Teams. Optional for the Hip Hop and Novice Hip Hop Teams. The cost is Small-Fry Team - $75.00 Junior Team- $115.00 Senior Team - $115.00. Payment is due on or before Monday, October 6th 2008.

February 7th & 8th 2009- Fire & Ice Competition - Andover Ma. At Andover High School The following teams will compete: Small-Fry, Junior, Senior & Hip Hop Teams. The Novice Hip Hop Team may compete if their routine is ready.

February 27th - March 1st 2009- Dancers Inc Competition & Workshop - Springfield Ma. The following teams will compete: Mini, Small-Fry, Junior, Senior, Hip Hop & Novice Hip Hop Teams. Hotel information will follow at a later date. Workshop is Mandatory for the following teams: Mini, Small-Fry, Junior & Senior Teams. Optional for Hip Hop & Novice Hip Hop Teams.

March 8th 2009 - Creation Dance Competition - Lowell Ma. The following teams will compete: Mini, Small-Fry, Junior, Senior, Hip Hop & Novice Hip Hop Teams.

March 27th - 29th 2009 - On Stage America - Fitchburg Ma. The following teams will compete: Small-Fry, Junior, Senior, & Hip Hop Teams.
There is not a novice level for the Mini Team so they will not compete. The Hip Hop Novice Team may compete, depending on how they do in the season, as they would have to compete at an Intermediate level. The Novice Team should still mark this date on their calendars.

April 3rd - 5th - Dance Xplosion - Worcester Ma. At the DCU Center The following teams will compete: Mini, Small-Fry, Junior, Senior, Hip Hop & Novice Hip Hop Teams.

All entry and workshop fees must be paid in FULL prior to the competition date to participate, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
If you would like to be a chair person for a fundraiser please let us know as soon as possible. We have a separate bank account set up for the Competition Team Members, where parents can pay weekly, bi-weekly or monthly towards a competition event.
We will be scheduling Solo, Duet & Trio practices in the weeks ahead on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. We look forward to a very successful and fun season.
