Dear Competition Team Members & Parents:
Welcome back to a FUN and EXCITING competition season!! It’s hard to believe that the summer is over and a new season has begun. We have many exciting events planned such as Master Classes, Workshops, Leap & Turn Classes and exciting new competitions to explore. At this time we would like to welcome new Mini, Petite, Small-Fry, Hip Hop & Hip Hop Novice Team members to our Dance Family, which is growing in leaps and bounds.
We will be attending one workshop and four or five competitions (excluding Mini, & Novice Hip Hop Team age 9+ Miss Katelyn). We will compete in the months of February, March, April and May.
New this season: MANDATORY pre-payment for competition expenses. During the height of the competition season, we have found that it is very difficult for parents to pay competition fees that are due back to back. To alleviate some of this stress we have decided to collect pre-payments during the months of September, October, November & January for all team members. Each team will have a set payment plan that will be due each month and will later be applied to competition entry fees and teacher travel fees. Warm-up suits, competition leotards & workshops will be invoiced separately.
Mini Team: $40.00 per month (Sept. Oct. Nov. & Jan.) due on or before the 25th of each month.
Petite Team: $50.00 per month (Sept. Oct. Nov. & Jan) due on or before the 25th of each month.
Small-Fry Team: $55.00 per month ( Sept. Oct. Nov. & Jan) due on or before the 25th of each month.
Junior Team: $100.00 per month (except for the month of Sept. $50.00 due) ( Sept. Oct. Nov. & Jan ) due on or before the 25th of each month.
Senior Team: $100.00 per month (except for the month of Sept. $50.00 due) (Sept. Oct. Nov. & Jan ) due on or before the 25th of each month. Senior team members that are also on the Hip Hop team will only pay the Senior Team payment.
Hip Hop Team - Miss Tanya $55.00 per month ( Sept. Oct. Nov. &Jan) due on or before the 25th of each month.
Novice Hip Hop Team ages 9+ Miss Katelyn $40.00 per month (Sept. Oct. Nov. & Jan) due on or before the 25th of each month.
Novice Hip Hop Team ages 13+ Miss Katelyn $50.00 per month (Sept. Oct. Nov. & Jan) due on or before the 25th of each month.
Cash or checks only will be accepted. No credit card please!!! Checks can be made payable to Miss Tanya’s School of Dance. All payments will go into a competition account.

Workshops
Shock the Intensive at the DCU Center in Worcester on Sunday, October 18th 2009. offers Ballet, Jazz, lyrical, Musical Theater, Tap & Hip Hop. Mandatory for Petite, Small-Fry, Junior, & Senior Teams. Optional for the Hip Hop and Novice Hip Hop Teams as workshop offers all dance disciplines.
Payment is due on or before Monday, October 5th 2009.
Event Schedule of times and cost for the following teams:
Petite Team - 7:45am - 12:00 - Cost $80.00
Small-Fry Team - 7:45 - 4:00pm - Cost $125.00
Junior Team- 7:45 - 4:00pm - Cost $125.00
Senior Team - 7:45 - 4:00pm - Cost $125.00

Unfortunately Monster of Hip Hop workshop is not returning to Massachusetts this year!!!
We are all very sad, as this workshop was one of the best that we have ever attended!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Parent Meetings
We would like to schedule parent meetings for the following teams to discuss the events of the season, fundraising and expectations of both team members and parents. These meetings are designed to guide new and existing members and parents.
The Mini Team meeting is scheduled on Wednesday, October 21st 2009 at 4:30pm.
The Petite Team meeting is scheduled on Friday, October 23rd 2009 at 5:30pm
The Small-Fry Team meeting is scheduled on Wednesday, October 21st 2009 at 6:30pm.
The Junior Team meeting is scheduled on Friday, October 23rd at 7:00pm.
The Senior & Hip Hop Team (Miss Tanya) is schedule on Thursday, October 22nd 2009 at 8:30pm.
The Novice Hip Hop Team ages 9+ meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October, 22nd 2009 at 7:00pm and the Novice Hip Hop Team ages 13+ meeting is scheduled on Thursday, October 22nd 2009 at 8:30pm.
These meetings are Mandatory for all parents!!!!! Please mark these dates on your calendars. If a parent can not attend please send someone in your place, as important information will be given.

The 2009-2010 Competition Team contracts are in the team mailboxes. Please sign and return the forms no later than October 1st 2009. Please check your mailboxes weekly, as important information will be distributed in the coming weeks. New teams members will be sized for warm-up suits in the weeks ahead. Competition leotards will be sized and ordered for the new Mini, Petite, Small-Fry, Junior & Senior Team Members and any other members that have out grown their last season leotard. Required make-up for new team members will also be ordered.

Below is a tentative schedule of Competitions (SUBJECT TO CHANGE).
February 6th & 7th 2010- Fire & Ice Competition - Andover Ma. At Andover High School The following teams will compete: Petite, Small-Fry, Junior, Senior, Hip Hop Team (Miss Tanya‘s) & Novice Team ages 13+ (Miss Katelyn‘s)

March 6th - Step Up 2 Dance Tour (Olympic Miss Dance) Melrose Mass. All Teams will compete.

March 21st - Spirit of Dance Competition - Worcester Ma. All Teams will compete.

April 10th & 11th 2010- Turn It Up Dance Challenge - Lowell Ma. Hotel Information will be given at a later date. Hotel stay is optional. All Teams will compete.

April 30th - May 1st 2010 - Dance Xplosion - Springfield Ma or CanDance in Concord NH May 1st -2nd. Hotel information will be given at a later date. Hotel stay is optional. All teams will compete. We will let you know which one we will attend at a later date.

All entry and workshop fees must be paid in FULL prior to the competition or workshop date to participate, NO EXCEPTIONS!!! We look forward to a very successful and fun season!! Thank you Miss Tanya & Miss Tammy
